Wharton Research Data Services... It's here!

Greetings,
I have some great news. If you haven’t already heard, Wharton Research Data Services is now available. Words cannot describe how excited I am to have WRDS available at Wichita State University.

Just click on WRDS and follow the links if you’d like to explore. Access is a little different than our other databases and you can read about it on our WRDS page.

I can’t remember the last time I was so excited about a database. If you’re doing business research and need data, this is one possibility to locate the information. It’s a lot easier to use than the old Compustat and the content can be downloaded in a variety of formats. Plus, there's even more data available. It's a really great resource for getting tons of raw data in an easier to use format.

I would like to thank the Business School for their support -in particular Jim Clark's instrumental role. I also appreciate Mary Walker's electronic librarian expertise as well as the support from University Libraries.
