Lots of Neat Library Stuff on the Way

Greetings,
Old Westbury Library has added some fantastic library resources. I know finals are winding down, the sun's out and the beach awaits. Well, when we do have the occasionally rainy day on Long Island, there's a lot to keep you occupied at Old Westbury Library. Check out Creedo Reference:
http://www.oldwestbury.edu/library/db_results.cfm?letter=c

It's an online resource featuring over 500 reference books. This can be really helpful with research or settling bar bets for that matter. It's not hard to use. Try it out and you'll probably get a tonne of valuable information.

Under the C's, we also have Cabell's Directories. These are perfect for learning more about the acceptance rates and information on business journals. Honestly, I think it's a great way to learn about selective journals. Personally, I used Cabell's myself to locate more selective library science journals which resulted in publications. In my book, that makes Cabell's a good resource. The last thing you want to do is write a substantial journal article only to find that it was published in the "Journal of Unproven Bullfeathers". Okay, that's not a real journal but you get the idea.

Until next time, catch me in the library.
