Human Resources

HR is one of those areas...  Marketplace recently put together a report on Human Resource Managers and the challenges they face:

Basically, they're trying to rebrand themselves.  In many ways, this reminds me of the challenges librarians are facing.  Basically, they're thinking of new ways to promote themselves and be seen in another light.  Libraries have adapted by having more programing and events.  Not unlike HR, librarians are promoting more wellness events.  These things get attention and can change attitudes.  While it may not happen overnight, sometimes taking a good look in the mirror helps.
