Companies Like Boeing...

I came across this article on Boeing:

https://www.marketplace.org/2020/10/28/as-companies-like-boeing-go-so-goes-the-u-s-economy/

It really shows the impact that the pandemic is having on the economy.  It's not just retailers and restaurants.  Boeing is the single largest US manufacturer for exports.  And Marketplace is right.  Boeing employs much more than people who turn wrenches.  Still, wrench turning is important on aircraft and I get the bigger picture: Marketplace is pointing out that aircraft designers and aerospace engineers aren't a dime a dozen.  I keep hoping that we'll get a safe, effective vaccine soon.  This sort of thing has a ripple effect on the economy.  Boeing employees buy Starbucks, pay apartment rents, take out mortgages, and so on.  Time will tell what the future holds.  In the meantime, a coronavirus vaccine can't come soon enough.
