Selling Hotel Reservations

In a world where people can sell restaurant reservations, one new trend is selling hotel reservations:

I find this fascinating.  All of a sudden, consumers have additional options to sell hotel rooms.  If you can't cancel a reservation, it's one way to get some of your money back on a hotel room that would otherwise go unused.

New Databases at SUNY Old Westbury

We have two new databases at SUNY Old Westbury Library.

One database is Alternative Press Index which is "a biannual subject index to over 300 alternative, radical and left periodicals, newspapers and magazines."

Another is EconLit which "includes the most sought-after economics publications including peer-reviewed journal articles, working papers from leading universities, PhD dissertations, books, collective volume articles, conference proceedings, and book reviews--all expertly indexed, classified, and linkable to full-text library holdings."
