Management and Narcissism

There are a number of reasons why certain people get hired into management.  Actual leadership talent is only one measure.  There are other factors to consider.  The ability to interview well is important.  As a supervisor, the people who report to you also play a role.  In effect, some personalities get along better with others.  The interesting thing is that moderate levels of narcissism can be helpful.  Being on either extreme such as being too grandiose or not assertive enough can create problems.  Of course, results may vary.  Until next time, catch me in the library.
