More Self-Driving Vehicles

Greetings,
Earlier this month, I posted on the future of self-driving ships.  Last month, I was in Pittsburgh, PA.  One of the big things happening in Pittsburgh was talk of implementing self-driving cars.  Uber was in the process of launching self-driving cars.  Pittsburghers were very excited about it.  Historically, Pittsburgh's had an image of being a rust belt city with more than its fair share of steel mills.  These days, the town's looking more and more like Seattle or cutting edge Silicon Valley.  Today, Uber customers in Pittsburgh can ride in a self-driving Uber vehicle:

Other self-driving applications include self-driving tractors:

Who would have ever thought?  Apparently, the new technology has generated considerable interest as well as some safety concerns.  Nevertheless, no matter how you look at it, this is an emerging technology that has the potential to change transportation and even how crops are harvested.

Self-Driving Ships

Greetings,
Self-driving cars have been in the news lately.  It turns out that there are even bigger plans for self-driving technology.  Self-driving ships may be part of our future:

Self-driving technology appears to have a number of applications.  It'll be interesting to see how this plays out over the next several years.
